The difference is with the main board. The DTF R1390 needs to reset the ink volume counter manually sometimes, but the DTF L1800 doesn't need to.
DTF pro has 2 print heads, while DTF L1800 only has one, so DTF pro prints is 2 times the speed of DTF L1800.
No, the RIP software is only compatible with Windows OS, you need to install Parallels or Bootcamp on Mac to use the RIP software.
The Pro RIP program is free, but you need to plug in the software dongle to use it. It cannot edit images - it is only for image ripping. You need to use software like Photoshop or Canva to edit your images.

So far so good! It works great. Just have to keep with the proper maintenance. I have this L1800 since Dec of 2023 and i have had some issues with ink but only minimal. Was able to fix quickly.
